Why 'Should' Only Ends In Guilt

Should. The word that takes away the enjoyment of a task and only adds guilt if we then don’t do it. 🙄

Yesterday I had a ‘should’ moment...

I had a day off where I knew I ‘should’ go to the gym, catch up with some work, have a phone-meeting, eat really well but basically be alone all day and then I was invited on a boat trip with friends.

Well, it was a no-brainer! I jumped at the chance to get out in the sun and enjoy a day with friends because sometimes what you want to do is not what you ‘should’ do and that’s ok.👌🏾

Yes I did battle with a bit of guilt yesterday as I didn’t gym and ate mainly beige food but life’s for living and a day in nature with friends is as good for me as any workout!

I’m catching up with things today and letting go of the guilt that ‘should’ brings to a thought process because by doing what I wanted, the world didn’t end and it’s all about moderation right? 🤷🏽‍♀️

So today, do something you want to do, not what you ‘should’ do and try not to beat yourself up about it!
