Treating Eczema Naturally - Part 1

Following on from my last post about my personal eczema journey, I’ve decided to share some of the lifestyle changes that drastically improved things for me because I can’t keep this miracle to myself! 🗣

If you have every lived with eczema, you will understand how utterly desperate you are for relief. Even whilst using long-term steroid creams, my skin was still itchy, dry and painful.

I felt uncomfortable and embarrassed at my often bleeding skin and scalp. It was awful 😔

Through being my own guinea pig and with the help of my fabulous homeopath, I am steroid free and well on the road to being eczema free from head to toe!

Here are my top tips for treating eczema naturally...

🥑 Eat a nutritious and balanced diet full of fresh fruits and veggies, lean protein and healthy fats.

Upping my fats actually had a huge impact on my over-all health including my mental clarity and cognition but as fat sources like olive oil and avocado have known anti-inflammatory properties, I feel that this greatly contributed to my healing. Avocado specifically has a compound that may reduce inflammation in young skin cells!

🐟 Eat more oily fish and/or add a high quality fish oil supplement to your diet to get a hit of omega 3 fatty acids. You’ll benefit from their anti-inflammatory properties while getting an extra hydration boost to the skin from the inside out.

If you are vegan, Flaxseed and Krill oil are excellent options.

I have had to split this post into two as I have so much info to share with you but stay tuned for part 2 tomorrow!
